Did My Brow Microblading Go Wrong? – Nadine Baggott

I had my eyebrows microbladed a month ago with Suman, one of London’s most well respected experts. I had thought long and hard about getting it done but often chickened out because I didn’t like the dark and blocky looks of so many I had seen. But then people started to get them done and they looked feathery and natural.

This video shows my entire journey from numbing through microblading (there are blades and a bit of blood, so be warned) right through the shock horror of waking up with black brows, through the healing and peeling process to today. Right now I really like the shape of my brows but, for me, they are still too dark and at the ends are too blocky.

Now here’s the thing – some people love my new brows, some even think I have not gone far enough, but some dislike them. Every day I now cover them in base to soften the colour, and at night I apply glycolic or retinol to get my skin to shed to fade them as quickly as possible.

This video is not a warning, it is simply my honest journey and the pros and cons of getting your brows microbladed.

Suman can be found here @sumanbrows on Instagram and she doesn’t just microblade but thread and dye. She admitted that my skin took the colour readily and was surprised at how dark they went, when she had used a dark blonde pigment.

Her microblading costs are £500 including the follow up appointment.
