Responsibilities for this Position ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs various types of massage treatments i.e., Swedish, Trager, Sports, etc. Proficiency in all components of massage, body and hydrotherapy, i.e., anatomy and physiology. Proficiency in doing a variety of body treatments in addition to being well versed in new developments, i.e., Vichy shower, Swiss shower, exfoliations, masks, hydro tubs, body polish, herbal wraps, etc. Prepares and maintains treatment area supplies daily. Ensures the privacy of each guest. Attends weekly and monthly departmental staff meetings as requested. Conducts tours of the facility as needed, to ensure a pleasant visit of each guest. Maintains consistent spa inventory and orders supplies as needed. Promotes and sells massage and body products. Attends product knowledge training as required. On-time attendance and ability to work uninterrupted is required. Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management. Requirements Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit. High school graduate or equivalent. Current license(s) and certificate(s) for massage therapy as required by the state, county, city/town. One-year experience administering massage, body and hydrotherapy treatments, desired. Ability to work under pressure. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Technical Requirements: Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to converse in basic English. Must be able to work independently. Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
